Community Center

We are beginning a capital fundraising project to realize our dream of turning the old West Course golf clubhouse in Colorado City into an activity center. We are seeking funds for various phases of the building project (see below). Thanks to a generous donor, Phase I is already completed. A key to the success of this new Activity Center operated by VFC is its location on the 123-acre former golf course and its eventual connectivity to Lake Beckwith and other sites. This makes it the focal point for attracting tourism and economic development, as well as providing a new local amenity.

We want to renovate the old clubhouse into an energy-efficient building that can be used as a nature center, events center, trailhead for tourist and local hiking and biking, as well as for VFC charitable events.

Please help VFC achieve this vision by donating to our capital campaign. We will be seeking grants from various organizations, but most grantors require matching funds and in-kind donations. Your generous donation can allow us to move forward to seek grant funding for this project.  Click "TAKE ACTION" at the top of the page.
