Partnership with Pueblo County:

Beginning on September 30, 2025, Pueblo County staff will be present in the Susan Kalman VFC Community Center at 4705 Santa Fe Drive in Colorado City to provide county services in our neighborhood for the greater convenience of Greenhorn Valley residents. Services will vary and will be provided on Tuesdays and Fridays. To start with, Pueblo County will send representatives of Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) and Parks and Recreation. DHHS will facilitate sign up and maintenance of Medicaid and SNAP benefits. A lunch and learn activity provided by DHHS will follow our Tuesday SRDA meal at the center. Anyone aged 60+ who lives in Pueblo County qualifies for a meal. To enroll call SRDA at 719/543-0100 by 9 a.m. the day of to reserve a meal. Parks and Recreation will offer activities for kids and adults on Friday’s. They may also offer classes through CSU Extension Service related to cooking, cottage industries and other topics.
